Decomposed body of miner found

Police are investigating the circumstances which led to the death of 37-year-old Ryan Roberts, whose badly decomposed body was found in Hurradiah Village, North West District on January 07, 2018.

News Room understands that the miner was found hanging from a tree by her step-father and other villagers, with a string around his neck in a sitting position. According to reports, police examined the body and did not find any marks of violence.

His mother reportedly told the police that Roberts left her home at about 15:30hrs on December 30, 2017 and told her he was going to ‘Franklin Chappell’ shop in the same village, however, he never returned home.

Roberts’ body was escorted to the Moruca Regional Hospital where he was seen and further examined by a Doctor who pronounced him dead.

News Room understands that the badly decomposed body was buried in a shallow grave, pending an exhumation.
