Dental Surgeon robbed in front Eccles home

A 49-year-old Dental Surgeon, who had just arrived at her Eccles Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara home, is now traumatised after she was attacked and robbed by two armed men on a motorcycle.

News Room understands that the robbery took place on Tuesday, January 09, 2018 at about 10:45 hrs as Debra Skeete, had just arrived home and parked her car.

According to reports reaching News Room, the perpetrator with the gun walked up to the victim driver’s side door and told her to hand over her bag; she hesitated and he pulled out a gun from his waist, opened the car door and snatched the bag before escaping.

The bag contained $25,000; £60, which is equivalent to $80,000; an iPhone valued at $40,000; one Samsung Galaxy phone valued at $35,000, along with the woman’s bank cards and ID.

Investigations are ongoing.
