La Grange men robbed of weeding machines in Georgetown

A 61-year-old man and his 49-year-old colleague were robbed of their weeding machines as they were about to begin working at 05:30hrs at Church Street, Georgetown on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.

It was reported that Boodram Hemraj and his colleague whose only name was given as Ramdin, had just arrived at Church Street in the vicinity of the Lodge building and were about to dismount their motorcycles when they were attacked.

News Room understands that two men stopped alongside them on a white XR motorcycle and the rider took out a handgun and ordered his accomplice to take away Hemraj’s weeding machine.

Reports also indicate that the pillion rider lifted his jersey to show what appeared to be another firearm in his waist to Ramdin. who handed over his weeding machine. The machines are valued at $100,000 each.

 

An Investigation is ongoing.
