Female robbed of $4.5M in Kitty
Police are on the hunt for two motorcycle bandits, who allegedly robbed a 34-year-old woman of approximately $4.5M in cash on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Pere Street, Kitty, Georgetown.
The woman was also robbed of a brown leather bag valued at $150,000; a Samsung Galaxy S6 valued at $210,000; her ID and Passport; Scotiabank Cards; a gold band valued at $55,000 and one gold ankle band valued at $100,000. The incident occurred at around 15:15hrs minutes after the victim left a mining company at Light and Sixth Street, Alberttown.
News Room understands that the pillion rider dismounted the motorcycle and pointed a handgun towards the victim and told her to throw the bag, which she did out of fear. Investigations are ongoing.
