Ogle family robbed of Laptop, cash, other items

An Ogle, East Coast Demerara, couple was on Saturday morning robbed of a laptop and other valuables, as bandits entered their Lot 13 Area ‘G’ home.

Grasstrack promoter Sheik Yaseen said he watching cricket on television, after which he retired to bed at around 03:00h. He and his wife then woke up at around 05:00h and discovered several items missing from the house.

Yaseen, who was only last month elected Chairman of the Community Policing Group in the area, told News Room that apart from the Toshiba laptop, the other missing items include a bag with an undisclosed amount of local and foreign currency, driver’s licence, Identification Card, ATM Card and keys.

The laptop, Yaseen indicated, was only given to him a few days ago by his daughter as a gift. Yaseen said that from all indications the person or persons gained entry into the building via a window in the front verandah.

The matter is currently engaging the attention of Police within that jurisdiction.
