The bodies of two young farmers were found on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Grant Stelling Hope, Lower Pomeroon River.

Dead are 28-year-old Ambrose Baharally known as “Jadge” and 23-year-old Martin Godette; they were both found with a single gunshot wound to the head, in what appears to be an execution-style killing.

A police statement noted that the murders took place at about 15:30hrs on Sunday, by two males who were armed with handguns. Preliminary investigations revealed that the victims were seen conversing with the suspects at about 15:10hrs and shortly after two loud explosions were heard and the suspects were seen fleeing the scene by boat.

The victims were discovered motionless and taken to the Charity Hospital where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

The bodies are presently at the Suddie Hospital Mortuary awaiting post-mortem.  Investigators have retrieved a 9MM spent shell and a live ammunition at the scene.
