All systems are a go for tomorrow’s highly anticipated ‘Bad Blood’ boxing card at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall. The boxers had the weight-in this afternoon at the Giftland Mall.
For the main fight, Dexter Marques tipped the scale at 112lb, with his opponent Dionis Alberto Martinez Arias of Venezuela coming in at 109.6lb for the 10-round Flyweight contest.
Shawn Corbin weighted in at 174.4lb for his WBC Fecarbox Light Heavyweight title fight against Sheldon Laurence, who tipped in at 175lb, while Dexter Gonsalves came in at 134lb and Felipe Larez Barcelo of Venezuela 135lb for their 10-round Lightweight contest.
Elton Dharry was recorded at 119.6lb, while his opponent Venezuelan Jesus Gregorio Vargas Garcia came in at 121lb for their eight-round Bantamweight contest.
For their four-round Junior Middleweight contest, Anson Green and Keithland King of Barbados tipped the scale at 148.6lb and 152.8lb respectively, while debutants James Moore and Anderson Emmanuel of Barbados were recorded at 179.4lb and 204lb respectively for their four-round Heavyweight showdown.
The action is for the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall starting at 19:00h. Tickets are on sale at the Giftland Stores and Assuria General Insurance offices in Georgetown, Diamond, Berbice, Parika and Vreed-en-Hoop. Tickets cost $4,000 (VIP), $2,000 (Ringside) and $1,000 (Stands).
