Duo remanded on gun, ammo charges

Two men who were busted during a police raid in Festival City, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown with an unlicensed Glock pistol along with matching ammunition, were remanded to prison on Friday, January 19, 2018.

Damion Favourite,31, a Mason and Carl Lockheart, 29, a Video Editor, appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court where they were jointly charged.

It is alleged that on January 17 at Festival City, the duo had .38 Glock pistol in their possession without being license firearm holders. It is further alleged that the men also had 2 live rounds of .38 ammunition.

They did not have legal representation and pleaded not guilty to both charges.

Police Prosecutor, Simone Payne objected to bail and cited the nature and gravity of the charges.

Bail was denied and they were remanded until January 26, 2018.
