Motorcyclist unconscious after crashing into car


A 30-year-old motorcyclist remains unconscious at the Georgetown Public Hospital, hours after he crashed into the back of a parked car on the Wallers Delight Public Road, West Coast Demerara (WCD) on Sunday night.

According to a police release, Cappel Deo, of 408 Crane Housing Scheme, WCD was rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital in an unconscious state and was transferred to the GPHC, where his condition remains the same.

Police said that Deo was proceeding west along the southern carriageway of the road on his motorcycle, CD 4517 at about 19:00hrs when he allegedly lost control and collided with motor car PDD 4714 which was parked on the southern corner of the road.

The driver of the vehicle is in custody and assisting with the investigation.
