Gokarn Ramdhani was on Monday elected unopposed to serve as president of the Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) for another term. Ramdhani, who has been at the helm of the association since 2006, will once again head the organisation during the 2018-2022 term.

The election took place at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

Apart from long list of local competitions, coupled with attendance to regional and international tournaments, Ramdhani highlighted that the GBA plans to actively pursue the Shuttletime Programme, an initiative he believes will help to easily spread the game in schools.

Dr. Nicholas Waldron has been elected to serve as Vice-president, while Emelia Ramdhani is the Secretary. Ayanna Wickham-Watson will serve as Assistant Secretary, while Darrell Carpenay is the Treasurer.
