Buxton Hot Dog vendor robbed

A Hot Dog Vendor of Buxton, East Coast Demerara (ECD) was on Saturday (January 27, 2018) robbed of his car keys and other items as he was about to pick up his son from a Day Care located on Stone Avenue, Blyzeight Gardens, Georgetown.

According to information received, Cleveland Chappelle, 29 years, travelled from the Giftland Mall to pick up his son and as he stopped in front of the Day Care, a silver 212 motor car bearing registration number HC 6513 stopped a short distance away.

News Room understands that two identifiable men armed with handguns exited the car, held him at gunpoint and relieved him of his car keys valued at $35,000, a Samsung Galaxy cellular phone valued at $30,000, an LG flexible cell phone valued at $80,000, a handbag valued at $1,500, a purse and other documents.

The incident occurred at about 16:46hrs.

The suspects made good their escape south of Stone Avenue. Investigations are ongoing.
