A post-mortem was this morning conducted on the body of 20-year-old Hemchand Dalchand whose body was found in a pool of blood on the northern half of the Oleander Gardens Public Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD) at about 00:30hrs on Sunday, January 28, 2018.
The police stated that the post-mortem done by Government Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh, gave the cause of death as “multiple injuries consistent to that of a motor vehicle accident.”
According to police information, Dalchand called Rakesh left his Cummings Lodge home in the company of some female friends to attend an entertainment show at the Ogle Community Center, ECD, at about 18:00hrs on Saturday evening.
However, his body was then discovered with several wounds and without the jersey and footwear.
Investigations are ongoing.
