A man, who was identified as ‘Steve’ and known as ‘Fishman’ was shot and robbed just after midday on Friday, February 9, 2018, by bandits near the Cove and John Public Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
News Room understands that the man and his daughter were walking home when the gunmen approached in a motorcar and attacked them.
When contacted, Commander of ‘C’ Division, Calvin Brutus confirmed that the shooting occurred.
An eyewitness told the News Room that the man was reportedly shot four times and robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash. He was rushed to the hospital and his condition is unknown at this time. News Room will provide more details as it becomes available.
