Linden taxi driver stabbed to death by ex-wife’s lover

Twenty – four – year old Orlando Flatts, known as ‘Orandy’ or ‘Rango’ was pronounced dead on arrival at the Linden Hospital after he was stabbed in the left region of his abdomen by the boyfriend of his ex-reputed wife.

Police said that the incident occurred around 00:30h on Friday, February 9, 2018, a Lot 74 Amelia’s Ward, Linden. According to the police report, Flatts was a taxi driver who resided at Blue Berry Hill, Wismar, Linden.

It is alleged that the taxi driver violently forced his way into the apartment of his ex-wife, armed with a piece of metal during which he was stabbed.

The woman’s boyfriend, who is a 22-year-old labourer, received injuries to his left elbow and left palm; he is in custody assisting with the investigation.

Flatts’ body is presently at the Linden Hospital Mortuary awaiting a post-mortem. Police recovered the knife and the piece of metal, which was identified as a wheel spanner extension.
