Sparta Boss edged Kingston on Thursday evening to continue their winning ways in the Magnum Mash Cup at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.

Sparta Boss dug deep to pull off a 3-2 win against Kingston. Sparta Boss scored the only goal of the first half with a strike from Jermin Junior in the third minute, but just as the second half resumed found themselves in a tied game after a goal from Simon Emmanuel in the 12th minute.

Gregory ‘Jackie Chan’ Richardson put Sparta Boss up 2-1  a minute later, while Emmanuel doubled up to equalise in the 17th. With the game seemingly headed for a draw, Junior produced a brilliant strike that rocked the net in the final minute of the match.

Meanwhile, Future Stars got a comfortable 2-0 win against Ansa McAL Allstars to continue their rich vein of form. Akeemo Anthony scored in the second minute, while Jamal Cozier sealed the win in the 14th minute.

Kwame Holder had the performance of the night, leading Hustlers to a 4-0 win over North East La Penitence. Holder scored all four goals that came in the second, fourth, fifth and 11th minutes of the one-sided affair. Team Extreme also took care of business with a 2-0 win over North Ruimveldt.

Eon Alleyne was on target in 11th minute, while Carl Griffith finished the match with a goal in the 16th.  The national Rugby Team took another loss, this time to Ol Skool Ballers who won 3-0.

Julian Masdammer had one of the quickest goals of the tournament with a first minute strike, while Omari James in the 15th and Lennox Cort in the 16th closed the deal.

In other results, Albouystown topped MBK Ballers 3-1, Alexander Village defeated Tigerbay 1-0, Silver Bullets defeated Buxton 1-0, YMCA Allstars and Swag Entertainment drew 1-1, NK Ballers topped Mocha 3-2, Channel-9 Warriors won via walkover, Back Circle won via walkover and Gold is Money and New Market Street drew 3-3.
