There was no shortage of action of the final night of group play in the Magnum Mash Futsal Cup continued on Saturday evening at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue. Popular team Sparta Boss continued their winning streak and won their third game in as many with a 3-0 victory of Linden based Silver Bullets.

Gregory ‘Jackie Chan’ Richardson was at the peak of his powers with two beautiful goals in the third and 18th minutes, while Quincy Adams had the next goal in the 13th minute of the match.

Future Stars were also in a no-nonsense mood as they defeated Channel-9 Warriors 4-0 to finish atop their group with three straight wins. Curtez Kellman started the goal-scoring night with a strike in the fourth minute, while Akeemo Anthony added to the lead just before half-time with a strike in the ninth minute.

Alex Moore and Raphael Edwards scored as well with strikes coming in the 12th and 14th minutes.

Meanwhile, Leopold Street, who had a bit of a rough start and needed to win by at least five goals to advance, played their best futsal of the night with 6-1 win against Mocha.

It was a display of brilliant passing that broke the defence of Mocha and allowed Leopold Street to take advantage of a listless defence.
