The Faculty of Technology and Social Sciences continued their title campaigns on Friday with respective wins at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall. Social Sciences had a tough encounter against Agriculture and Forestry, but eventually won 34-28 to notch another win.

Social Sciences had no players in double digits, but the play of Marvin Durant with seven points and Samuel Thompson, also scoring seven, was enough to get the defending champs over the line. Sherland Gillis and Quincy Easton scored 15 and 11 points respectively to account for 26 of Agriculture and Forestry’s 28 points.

Technology also had to dig deep to pull off a 48-46 win over University of Guyana Berbice who showed some grit.

The fast-paced action was led by Akeem ‘The Dream’ Kanhai, who had 16 points to lead Technology. Kanhai showed great leadership in the match as he was a beast finishing at the rim. UG Berbice had no defensive scheme to stop former national captain.

Quacia Persaud had 16 points in the loss and came up short down the stretch with a couple of misses, but was the difference-maker on the Berbice team.

In other results on Friday, School of Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation topped Natural Sciences 43-39, while on Saturday Staff routed Education and Humanities 78-39. Also on Saturday, Shamar Huntley led the Faculty of Natural Sciences to a 40-33 win over Agriculture. Huntley had 21 points in the win, while Gillis had 14 points for Agriculture.
