Businessman robbed of gun, ammo & cash

A 34-year-old businessman of Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara is now counting his losses after person (s) broke into his car which was parked on Brickdam, Georgetown and stole his .32 Taurus Millennium semi-automatic pistol with a magazine containing eight matching rounds and a black plastic bag with had $350,000.

News Room understands that the robbery occurred on Monday, February 12, 2018, at around 13:30hrs just as the businessman left Scotia Bank on Robb Street, Georgetown. At the time of the robbery, the man was conducting business at the NIS Office on Brickdam.

Reports indicate that the businessman found the left side glass of his car window broken and the items missing from the front seat. He left the items in his Silver Grey Premio motorcar for an hour as he conducted business at the NIS.
