Berbice man in custody for sexual assault of 3-Y-0

A Corentyne, Berbice man is now in police custody after he was accused of sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl on Friday, February 10, 2018.

News Room was reliably informed that the child was left in the care of the suspect’s mother and it was during that time the 24-year-old man committed the heinous act.

The child reportedly told her mother what took place and a report was made to the police. The young man had initially gone into hiding but was found by the police.

A medical examination revealed that the child was sexually assaulted.
