A 20-year-old Police Constable appeared before Chief Magistrate, Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, charged with the rape of his 19-year-old female colleague.
Dillon Crandon was not required to plea to the charge which alleged that on February 10, 2018, at John’s Hotel, Werk-en-Rust, he engaged in sexual penetration with the female.
He was released on $150,000 bail and the matter was transferred to City Magistrate, Leron Daly.
According to reports, on the day in question at about 03:45hrs, the victim and suspect, checked into the hotel after a night-out together; however, the victim alleged that the suspect raped her.
