A 26-year-old market vendor was on Friday remanded to prison by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan for attempted murder.

Lisa Bobb was not required to plea to the charge which alleged that on February 14, 2018, in Campbellville, Georgetown, she wounded Crystal Bobb with intent to commit murder.

Bobb was further placed before Magistrate Leron Daly for making use of threatening and abusive language against the complainant on the same day.

According to reports, on the day in question, there was a misunderstanding between Lisa and Crystal when Lisa became annoyed and stabbed the woman with a knife.

Police Prosecutor Gordon Mansfield told the court that the victim is still hospitalized.  The Magistrate remanded the unrepresented woman to prison until March 3, 2018.
