Masters Academy, Sir Leon Lesson on goal-scoring spree in Milo football

Saturday was a goal-scoring fiesta in the Milo Under-18 School Football Tournament at the Ministry of Education ground. Sir Leon Lesson started the party with a 10-0 drubbing of Cummings Lodge Secondary in a one-sided affair.

Zian Gray continued his hot patch of form with four goals that scorched the back of the net in the 12th, 31st, 58th and 69th minutes.

Lennox Young had a double in the 57th and 59th minutes, while Slan Jones (20th), Teon Forde (30th), John McKenzie (55th) and Classom McClaren (60th) scored solo efforts.

Masters Academy continued the goal-scoring fest with a 15-0 drubbing of former champs St. George’s Secondary, the inaugural winners of the tournament.

Tyrone Khan had one of the best scoring displays in the tournament, notching six goals in the first, 18th, 24th, 26th, 51st and 60th minutes.

Carl Lynch (25th, 29th), Jonathon Bart (29th, 57th) and Calvin Peters (48th, 66th) recorded doubles, while Elyajah Fraser (20th), Isaiah Anderson (59th) and Shannon Samnauth (64th) scored a goal apiece.

Meanwhile, while not as big as the previous two games, Pure Masters took care of business with a comfortable 5-1 win over School of the Nations.

Joel Murray (24th), Junior Williams (28th), Tyrese Ford (56th), Brandon Solomon (59th) were the scorers for Pure Masters, while School of the Nations players were sloppy with defence and contributed to their demise with an own goal in the 43rd minute. 

Marius Dalima was the lone scorer for School of the Nations with an on-target shot in the 54th minute.
