Suspected thieves caught with stolen items
The police have arrested a 24-year-old driver of Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke/ Linden Highway and another resident of Soesdyke with a quantity of stolen items on Saturday.
In a statement to the media, the police said the motorcar, which the 24-year-old was driving, was intercepted on the Soesdyke public road after it was discovered that a storeroom owned by a 50-year-old Timehri Base Road, EBD resident was broken into.
The stolen items – an electrical saw, six block-making and spindle mouldings and a water pump engine – were found in the vehicle.
They are in custody assisting with the investigation.
