Prime Minister recovering from heart surgery

Prime Minister and First Vice President Moses Nagamootoo has been discharged from the hospital, four days after successful heart bypass surgery and is undergoing rehabilitation, the Office of the Minister of State has announced.

According to a statement issued on Monday, the Prime Minister’s progress is steady and he is scheduled for further examinations in the coming days.

Prime Minister Nagamootoo, on February 12, underwent heart bypass surgery in the United States of America and the medical procedure was completed successfully.

“The Prime Minister expresses his personal gratitude to H.E President David Granger and the Ministers of Government, and all those who expressed wishes of support,” the statement concluded.
