Rose Ramdehol Auto Sales, the authorised agent for Hero MotoCorp, and the Petra Organisation will partner for the first time to host the third futsal tournament later this month at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

A lucky fan and the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament will be in with a chance to win a Hero motor-cycle.

In 2017, Rose Ramdehol Auto Sales acquired the Hero Motorcycle Franchise, as part of Hero MotoCorp’s global expansion. Hero MotoCorp is the world’s largest manufacturer of two-wheelers, and is based in India.

Two-time Caribbean Group Four motor-racing champion, Kristian Jeffrey, is the local brand ambassador for Hero.

At a simple handing over ceremony on Tuesday when the two cycles were put on display, Director of the Petra Organisation, Troy Mendonca, said he was elated to add such a tangible reward to tournament.

“Over the years, Petra has been touting the impact that players and officials from these community teams and the spectators would have had on sport through our small sided games. This year we have the opportunity to reward the best player of our tournament and a lucky spectator,” Mendonca shared.

Marketing Director of Hero MotoCorp, Joshua Ramdehol, shared that the company is proud to give back to the community.

“We are also very pleased that they would consider us to be a part of it, not just the sponsorship but the impact that they make in football in communities. Hero globally pushes a lot in terms of sport and youth empowerment,” Ramdehol noted.

The tournament will begin on February 24 at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue, from 19:00h with the best football teams set to compete for top honours.
