A 23-year-old businessman was today robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight at his home and store at Bagostown, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
Xu Kai was robbed of $30,000 by two men who subsequently escaped on a bicycle.
News Room understands that the perpetrators entered the General Store around 14:00hrs, held the businessman at gunpoint and demanded that he hand over the cash.
An investigation has been launched and police are said to be relying on CCTV footage to capture the suspects.
