2 feared dead after boat capsizes in Mazaruni River
Two persons are feared dead after a boat capsized in the Mazaruni River on Friday.
News Room understands that five men were hired by a miner to remove a dredge from Makari Brickdam.
They were reportedly transporting the dredge in a small boat when it sank somewhere in the Mazaruni River.
Three men managed to swim to shore but two others are said to be missing.
They are known as ‘Dougla’ and ‘Fineman’.
News Room understands that the scene is yet to be visited by police due to the area it is located.
