Teen cyclist on life support after struck down by minibus

A 13-year-old girl is battling for her life at a city hospital after she was struck down by a minibus whilst riding a bicycle on Sunday afternoon.

Nandranie Budram of Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara was riding a bicycle along the Access Road when she collided with minibus BWW 1663.

News Room was told that the minibus was proceeding north when the cyclist crossed the road in the path of the vehicle.

The teenager received serious injuries to her head; she is currently on life support.

The bus driver, Troy Allen of Bagotville, West Bank Demerara (WBD) is in police custody.
