Police have recovered the bodies of two men who went missing after a boat capsized in the Mazaruni River on Friday.
Police sources say one of the men has been identified as 26-year-old Jeffrey Dirwar of 111 Miles, Mahdia in Region Eight.
News Room reported that five men were hired by a miner to remove a dredge from Makari Brickdam.
They were reportedly transporting the dredge in a small boat when it sank somewhere in the Mazaruni River.
Three men managed to swim to shore but two others were missing and feared dead.
Now that their bodies have been recovered, police have launched an investigation into the matter.
