Police are investigating the circumstances which led to a fire destroying four cars sometime last night and early this morning at Grove, East Bank Demerara, the property of 37-year-old Faisal Hydarlie.
News Room understands that Hydarlie parked his white Toyota IST motorcar (PRR 3019) and his other vehicles in front of his house when he was awoken at around 02:30hrs by an explosion. Upon checking, he saw his IST on fire.
He immediately contacted the fire service but by the time they got there, the fire had also spread to his grey 212 motor car (HC 2405), a grey AE 100 motorcar (PKK 1530) and his grey AT 192 Toyota motorcar (PSS 9995).
There are no CCTV cameras in the area; investigations are ongoing.
