Everything in the path of Bent Street is being demolished, as the city side chalked up yet another convincing win in the Corona Futsal tournament, which continued at the weekend at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

Bent Street played to a 7-3 win against North East La Penitence in yet another show of dominance in the indoor tournament.

As has become the norm, Bent Street’s ability to attack and keep the ball, along with their passing allowed them to find cracks in the defence of North East. The biggest beneficiary on offence was Job Caesar with a hat-trick in the fourth, 13th and 14th minutes.

Pernell Schultz opened the game with a double for Bent Street in the first and third minutes, while Andrew Murray Jr and Kelsey Benjamin finished the game with goals in the 18th minute.

Meanwhile, Show Stoppers and Kingston had probably the best match of the night with the West Side team winning 11-9.

The team went back and forth scoring goals in the goal scoring fest, with Dexroy Adams leading the way for Show Stoppers with a quintet of goals in the seventh, 10th, 11th, 12th and 17th minutes.

Jermaine Samuels scored a hat-trick in the fourth, eighth and 18th minutes, while Damien Williams had a double in the second and 14th minutes. Delroy Jordan had just one goal in the third. Olson Lewis and Collin Clarke both had hat-tricks in the loss.

California Square also got an important 6-3 win against Channel-9 Warriors. Dillon Kelly had a hat-trick in third, fourth and 10th minutes, while David George scored a double in the fourth and 16th minutes. Mashack Barratt has a solo effort in the eighth minute.

In other results; Leopold Street topped Broad Street 3-2, Sophia and Albouystown drew two-all and West Front Road trounced YMCA 9-1. The tournament will continue during the week at the National Gymnasium.
