Dillon Mahadeo once again proved that no challenge is too big for him, winning the Male segment of Fitness Challenge 2018, while Delice Adonis turned the table on 2017 champion Semonica Duke in the Female category on Sunday.

Mahadeo became the first athlete to win the title three times, doing so on the trot, as he annihilated the competition at the National Park Tarmac. The Crossfit 592 athlete, visibly bigger from last year, was a cut above the rest of the field, exuding confidence, strength and stamina in his routines.

He managed 500 points, the only athlete to touch that mark on the day, finishing way ahead of his nearest rival Timothy McAndrew of Elite Systems. McAndrew finished with 408 points, while Junior Cornette of the Guyana Defence Force copped third with 401 points.

On the female side, both Adonis and Duke amassed 480 points, bringing into play the tie-breaker, which was determined by the best-of-five events. Adonis of Crossfit 592, by virtue of wins in Events Three, Four and Five, was declared champion, going one better than her second place finish in 2017.

Defending champion Duke of Genesis Fitness/Crossfit 592 finished runner-up after wins in Events One and Two. Tonnica Archer of Genesis Fitness rounded off the top three finishers with 425 points.
