Beacon FC benefits from Canadian soccer club’s generosity

Beacon Football Club, one of the oldest football clubs in the country, recently received a timely donation of several football items from Salt Fleet Stoney Creek Soccer Club of Canada. The donation was made possible through the intervention of Mr. and Mrs. Daly on behalf of the Canadian firm to Beacon FC.

Among the items presented were water bottles, boots, jerseys, balls and bags. Head Coach Gordon ‘Ultimate Warrior’ Brathwaite received the items on behalf of the club.

In thanking the organisation, coach Braithwaite disclosed that the items will go a far way in assisting the youth development programme being run by the club.

The former national football captain said he was thankful for the donation. The Beacon FC youth and senior teams train daily at Parade Ground, Georgetown.
