Senior Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus Tuesday remanded a North West District (NWD) man to prison for raping his 12-year-old female relative.
Peter George called ‘Paul’ was not required to plea to the indictable charge which alleged that during the month of September 2017 at Manawari Village, Moruca, he sexually penetrated a child under the age of sixteen.
The matter was held in-camera and he was remanded to prison until March 27, 2018.
Reports indicate that the child’s mother had reported the matter to the police.
