(Department of Public Information) According to Deputy Chief Executive Officer, GPL, Renford Homer, there was a mini disturbance on a primary line at the Demerara Berbice Interconnected System (DBIS) in Duke Street Kingston resulting in a total shutdown of the system.
This subsequently led to power outages in several areas in Region Four.
Currently, technicians are working expeditiously to resolve the situation.
Homer anticipates that power will be restored in approximately 45 minutes in all areas while investigations continue.
