Ann’s Grove man busted with narcotics
The illegal substance found by the police
A 40-year-old Gold Miner of Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara is in police custody pending charges, after he was allegedly caught with 6,772 grams of narcotics on his way to Aranka District, Cuyuni-Mazaruni River.
According to a police report, the miner was arrested by the police in ‘F’ Division on March 23 at around 23:00hrs.
News Room understands that the man was in a bus and had in his possession three five-gallon buckets containing Lube Oil. A further check revealed a black plastic bag in each bucket secured with scotch tape and a transparent plastic bag, which contained the illegal substance.
Police said the man admitted to possession of the narcotics.
