Sir Leon Lessons might just be the favourites to lift the 2018 Milo Under-18 School Football title after their semifinal performance today at the Ministry of Education ground.

Sir Leon Lesson topped Lodge Secondary 4-1 in the penultimate game of the tournament and looked in top form during the match.

Lodge, former champions of the tournament, came out aggressively and played an attacking style of football that got them the first goal of the game through a strike from Troyston Louisy in the sixth minute of the match.

Sir Leon Lesson, seemingly a bit rattled by the early goal, took some time to find their rhythm but amped up the match after Zion Gray released a shot that rocked the back of the net in the 29th minute to end the first half ahead 1-nil.

Shortly into the second half, the attacking play of Sir Leon Lessons allowed Shamar Carrington to blast a penalty into the bottom right of the goal in the 49th minute after a foul in the 18-yard box.

Shamar Carrington easily buries his penalty in the 49th minute of the match for Sir Leon Lessons

Leonnox Young, then sealed the deal with back-to-back strikes in the 80th and 88th minutes of the match.

Meanwhile, in the earlier game, Buxton Youth Foundation topped Annandale secondary 2-nil in a fairly one-sided affair.

While Annandale had a few shots at goal, they never really threatened the defence of Buxton consistently in the match.

Nevertheless, Buxton made good runs and while they too had a problem with finishing plays, they managed to put two on target with Shamar Scott grabbing the first in the 23rd minute and Teshawn Gordon notching the second in the 54th minute of the match.

Sir Leon Lessons and Buxton Youth Foundation will now meet in the final of the tournament which is set for Saturday, March 31 at the Ministry of Education ground.
