A 23-year-old Constable attached to the Guyana Police Force was today released on $250,000 bail by Senior Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus for the rape of a 15-year-old girl.
Mark Otto is charged with engaging in sexual penetration with a child under the age of 16 during the month of May 2017. He was not required to plea to the indictable charge when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
The case was adjourned to April 4, 2018.
The matter was reported to the police after the young lady’s parents found out that they were involved in a relationship.
