A Captain of the Guyana Defence Force is in police custody after he allegedly shot and killed his wife in broad daylight in Alexander Village, Georgetown today.
News Room understands that moments after the shooting, Aide-De-Camp of the Chief of Staff, Orwain Sandy, surrendered to the police at the Ruimveldt Police Station.
A resident in the area, who prefers to remain anonymous, told News Room that the couple was arguing in the car when the woman exited and Sandy reportedly picked up the gun and shot her dead.
The woman’s name has not yet been released. News Room will provide more information as it becomes available.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Captain Sandy is married to Amanda Nedd. The two are now separated. Ms Nedd is not the one who was killed. Captain Sandy reportedly shared a relationship with the woman he allegedly killed today and the victim is yet to be identified by the police.
