Bright lands Guyana’s first gold at Carifta Games

Carifta gold medallist Chantoba Bright continued her brilliance on Saturday with another gold medal performance at the 2018 Carifta Games in The Bahamas.

Bright jumped 5.95 metres to take gold as she continued to show why she is one of Guyana’s prized possessions.

Meanwhile, Deshanna Skeete finished in third for bronze with a time of 54.14s to build on her South American Youth gold medal; Megan Moss of The Bahamas won gold with a time of 53.19s.

World Youth Championships silver medallist, Daniel Williams finished in a surprising seventh with a time of 48.35s; Dashawn Morris of Jamaica won the gold medal in a time of 46.58s.
