Murray lands Guyana’s third bronze at Carifta

West Demerara athlete, Kezra Murray is now a bronze medalist at the Carifta Games after her 1500m performance on Saturday in the Bahamas.

Murray, running in the girl’s under-20 1500m final clocked 4:52.88s to win the bronze medal behind Shaqueena Foote of Jamaica who won gold in 4:46.55s and Kara Grant also of Jamaica who clocked 4:47.52s.

Carifta gold medalist, Claudrice McKoy was expected to feature in the race but the results show no trace of McKoy’s participation in the event.

News Room Sport will await official word on McKoy’s performance or non-performance in the event.
