Guyana’s duo of Avon Samuels and Katriel Perrier will not advance to the final of the girl’s 400m under-20 after their preliminary round on Saturday at the Carifta Games in The Bahamas.
Perrier finished sixth in heat two with a time of 59.1s while the winner of the heat was Charokee Young of Jamaica, who ran a time of 53.92s.
Samuels, on the other hand, did not finish her 400m in heat one and News Room Sport is awaiting an official update from the coaches on the American-based sprinter.
The winner of heat one was Bahamian, Doneisha Anderson who clocked the fastest time of 52.86s.
