South American 400m gold medalist, Deshanna Skeete is looking to add more hardware to her collection after her preliminary round at the 2018 Carifta Games on Saturday in The Bahamas.
Skeete won heat one of the girls 400m under-17 in a time 54.80s to make the final of the event.
Skeete’s time classes here as the second fastest qualifier just behind Garriel White of Jamaica who won heat two in 54.33s.
The third fastest qualifier was Megan Moss of the host nation with a time of 54.89s that finished just behind Skeete.
The 400m final will be contested later today.
