Young Eccles woman found dead after fight with ex-lover

The police have arrested a minibus driver after his 32-year-old ex-lover who visited him last night, was found dead at his Westminster, West Bank Demerara home.

According to information received, Rosemary Rudder of Eccles, East Bank Demerara, visited the 39-year-old suspect with whom she shared a relationship some time ago, at about 22:00hrs on Friday and saw him in the company of another woman.

News Room understands that a heated argument ensued between the suspect and Rudder which led to a physical altercation and Rudder was eventually left lying motionless in the house.

It is alleged that the suspect went to the police station and made a report.

Rudder was taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

It is not yet clear how she met her demise. Investigations are ongoing.
