Archer, Browne claim bronze at Carifta Games
Joanna Archer is Guyana’s latest medallist at the 2018 Carifta Games with a bronze on Monday in The Bahamas.
Archer, who has been one Guyana’s most consistent athletes, clocked 2:11.62s in the girl’s under-20 800 metres.
Shaqueena Foote of Jamaica won the event in a time of 2:07.56s, while her teammate Chrissani May got the silver in 2:09.00s.
Meanwhile, Princess Browne claimed Guyana’s sixth bronze medal with a leap of 11.97 metres in the girl’s under-17 triple jump.
Ackelia Smith of Jamaica won the event with a jump of 12.58 metres.
