Sinclair, Campbelle cop RHTY&SC top awards

In another ceremony that further epitomised the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTY&SC) as the most organised, structured and rewarding sports entity in Guyana, millions of dollars worth of cricket gear, gifts, household items, plaques and hampers were shared out on Sunday at the club’s 28th annual awards ceremony.

The St. Francis Training Centre at Rose Hall Town was packed to capacity, as Guyanese from all walks of life gathered to witness another ceremony of grandeur, spearheaded by the Secretary/CEO of the club, Hilbert Foster, with assistance from his hardworking team of Mark Papannah, Simon Naidu, Joel Pike, Robby Kissoonlall and Keith Hicks.

Talented junior cricketer Kevin Sinclair and West Indies cricketer Shemaine Campbelle copped the prestigious awards of Male and Female Cricketer of the Year 2017 respectively, while several others were rewarded for their performances during the last season.

Among those in attendance were Executive Director of PYARG Dr. Allistair Collins, Regional Chairman David Armagon, Director of Sport Christopher Jones, Clerk of the National Assembly Sherlock Isaacs and former Guyana and West Indies cricketer Roger Harper.
