Delhi Daredevils edged Rajasthan Royals by four runs in a rain-affected IPL game in Delhi on Wednesday. Indian trio Rishabh Pant (69 off 29), Shreyas Iyer (50 off 35) and Prithvi Shaw (47 off 25) took Daredevils to 196-6 after which there was a rain delay.

The game resumed with Rajasthan set a revised target of 151 to win in 12 overs. Jos Buttler set the tone with a blistering 67 off 26 balls and fellow opener D’Arcy Short scored 44 off 25, but they came up four runs short at 146-5.

The victory was Daredevils’ first over Rajasthan since 2012, and means that they are still alive in the competition.

Tomorrow, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders will clash from 10:30h.
