IPL: Wins for Kings XI and Mumbai Indians

Kings XI Punjab ensured Rajasthan Royals stay bottom of the table, while Mumbai Indians kept their hopes alive with victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL action on Sunday.

Kings XI Punjab defeated Rajasthan Royals by six wickets. Rajasthan posted 152-9 with Jos Buttler hitting 51 off 39 (7x4s), Sanju Samson 28 and Shreyas Gopal 24. Mujeeb Ur Rehman 3-27 and Andre Tye 2-24 were the best bowlers for Kings XI, who responded with 155-4 from 18.4 overs.

The in-form KL Rahul stroked 84 not out off 54 balls (7x4s, 3x6s), Karun Nair 31 and Marcus Stoinis 23 not out.

Mumbai Indians batted first against Kolkata Knight Riders and made 181-4 with Suryakumar Yadav making 59 off 39 (7x4s, 2x6s). Evin Lewis made 43 off 28 (5x4s, 2x6s) and Hardik Pandya 35 not out off 20.

Sunil Narine and Andre Russell took 2-35 and 2-12 respectively for Kolkata Knight Riders, who replied with 168-6. Robin Uthappa topscored with 54 off 35 (6x4s, 3x6s), Dinesh Karthik made 36 not out and Nitish Rana 31.

Hardik Pandya took 2-19. IPL action continues tomorrow with Sunrisers Hyderabad playing Royal Challengers Bangalore from 10:30h.
