Third man charged with murder of ‘Fabulous’
A 25-year-old Station Street, Kitty, Georgetown resident was today charged with the murder of 47-year-old Money Changer, Shawn Nurse known as ‘Fabulous’, who was gunned down in America Street, Georgetown in February 4, 2018.
Kacey Heyliger appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court and was not required to plea to the charge which alleged that on February 4 at America Street, while being in the company of others, and armed with guns, he murdered Shawn Nurse during the course of a robbery.
He was remanded to prison until May 21.
Heyliger is the third person to be charged with the murder of Nurse. Kerwin DaSantos and George Hope, both age 22, were previously charged and are in the process of a Preliminary Inquiry.
News Room understands that investigators were able to arrest the suspects after reviewing surveillance footage which captured the murder.
Police had noted that Nurse was sitting in a chair plying his trade when the armed perpetrator approached him from a northern direction with the weapon drawn and demanded that he hand over his money.
Nurse resisted and the perpetrator discharged a round hitting him in his left cheek, resulting in his death.
