Guyana’s leading Triple-Play Provider, E-Networks, has thrown its full support behind the Guyana National Rifle Association, which is sending a complete team to the West Indies Fullbore Shooting Championship in Barbados from May 20-26.

During a brief presentation at the company’s Camp Street Head Office on Thursday afternoon, Chief Financial Officer of the company, Deonarine Sarjoo, presented a cheque for an undisclosed amount to coach of the team, Paul Slowe.

Sarjoo said E-Networks is delighted to assist the riflemen as they hunt more regional glory at a championship they have dominated over the years.

Slowe, while thanking the company for coming onboard, said such support will definitely inspire the team to give their best during the seven-day event.

Guyana will definitely start as favourites, as the riflemen are the defending champions of both the Long Range and Short Range titles, while Lennox Brathwaite is the reigning Individual champion.

The team to Barbados is led by Dylan Fields, with Dane Blair being the Vice-captain. Brathwaite apart, the other members are Ransford Goodluck, Leo Ramalho, Sherwin Felicien, Peter Persaud, Terry Stuart, Sigmund Douglas and John Fraser.

According to Slowe, the team has been practicing over the last two weeks, and all the shooters are confident Guyana can defend both titles.
